patrik fitzgerald is an acoustic punk singer and poet (some people regard him as the originator of 'folk punk'). He headlined the acoustic bill at last year's rebellion festival in the uk & new album currently released called 'subliminal alienation'.
Patrik began with an ep called safety pin stuck in my heart in 1977 and over the years played concerts with the clash the jam u2 the buzzcocks, roy harper, and recently the mob. He is regarded as a major influence on chumbawamba, billy bragg, attila the stockbroker, the streets and others.
a concert and interview film of his music called all the years of trying was premiered at the kosmorama festival in trondheim norway in 2009 and at the raindance festival in london a year later.
He have released a series of cds over the years, the best of his early material is released on a cherry red records compilation safety pin stuck in my heart the very best of patrik fitzgerald.
